20th Annual Maine International Film Festival (MIFF), celebrating two decades as a favorite stop on the East Coast for filmmakers — the Boston Globe Magazine has called MIFF “the best-curated film event in New England.” MIFF brings together independent, international, and Maine-made films and screens nearly 100 films in two of the region’s most exciting and stately venues: the Railroad Square Cinema and the historic Waterville Opera House. Awash with intimate Q&As, lively receptions, scintillating panel discussions, and countless networking opportunities, MIFF brings film lovers together with filmmakers for an unforgettable dialogue and celebration.

MISSION AND OBJECTIVE
The Maine International Film Festival offers audiences and participants an opportunity to see and discuss films that would otherwise never be seen in the state of Maine.
MORE ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
MIFF is primarily seeking feature-length films in 35 mm and video formats; however, shorter works will also be considered. Special consideration will be given to films that were shot in Maine or that have a significant Maine theme or focus. MIFF will not accept films that have been theatrically released prior to the start of the festival or have been publicly exhibited in the state of Maine in any way (including film festivals, television transmissions, and one-off events).
