EIFF 2018 Industry – Deadlines are NEXT week!

With the Programme Launch only a mere 4 weeks away, it really is time to submit your applications for EIFF exclusive Industry opportunities at the 72nd Edinburgh International Film Festival. EIFF has a range of programmes and events focussed on giving you a helping hand whatever stage you are in with your career or project.

The following calls for submissions have deadlines approaching in the next two weeks: EIFF Works In Progress, Distribution Rewired and EIFF Talent Labs.

And don’t forget that Registration is now open for EIFF 2018. Apply now to be eligible for EIFF early bird discount rate and come to Edinburgh in June to see some amazing films, meet some fantastic people and experience EIFF wonderful atmosphere.


EIFF WORKS IN PROGRESS – Deadline Tuesday 01 May 2018

Do you have a close-to-completion project that could use some last minute funding and exposure?

Look no further than EIFF Works In Progress.

The event will present up to ten UK narrative feature titles to an invited industry audience including Sales Agents, Financiers, Festival Programmers and Distributors.  Each project will present to the invited industry audience with the aim of providing opportunities for projects to reach completion and be taken to international markets. There is a £2,500 award for the most promising project selected.


 DISTRIBUTION REWIRED – Deadline Friday 04 May 2018

Do you have a film in need of distribution?

Apply for Distribution Rewired where experts working in VOD distribution, exhibition, marketing and PR can help you release the project on all platforms.

Distribution Rewired is a two-day event and marketplace dedicated to developing communication and collaboration between filmmakers and film distribution professionals, highlighting the diverse opportunities available in today’s distribution sector. EIFF are looking for feature fiction and documentary projects which are in production and are looking for a more creative approach to distribution. Support is available for producers to attend and present their projects to a number of distribution representatives. Previous attendees include Vimeo, MUBI, Under the Milky Way, Curzon Artificial Eye, EIFF is The Tonic, EuroVOD and Screen.


 EIFF TALENT LAB – Deadline Monday 30 April 2018

Are you an up-and-coming filmmaker who could benefit from some invaluable industry training?

Apply for EIFF Talent Lab that is guaranteed to offer you expert advice as well as give you the opportunity to network with your peers.

Spread over four days, EIFF Talent Lab leads 30 participants in group discussions, workshops and networking events as well as hosting an invaluable afternoon of 1-2-1 advice and career sessions with experienced industry insiders. EIFF Talent Lab’s aim is to inspire, hone skills and build confidence within a new generation of filmmakers.


 EIFF Talent Lab, Distribution Rewired and EIFF Works in Progress are supported through the Scottish Government’s Edinburgh Festivals Expo Fund and by Creative Scotland.
