The visions and courage of the great prime minister Gajah Mada had left a remarkable track about visionary, unity, courage, bravery, and profound spiritualism.
Many heroes had led characters that the Festival is trying to burn the good old value into the young and old generation of Indonesia, as well as the international people. The Festival wishes to enliven the spirits again in the work of art through art and filmmaking.
East Java International Film Festival welcomes all filmmakers, newcomers, and students to do their best, to star, and to change the world through the work of arts and films.
East Java International Film Festival are searching for film and documentaries about heroes and heroine, courage, visionary, spiritual, tradition, art, culture, literature, fable, ancient stories, ancient kingdoms, war, and touching films about humbleness, kindness, and inspirational films and documentaries.
East Java International Film Festival are eager to see films made with passion, with the best cinematography, revealing the art of filmmaking, and carrying a heartfelt mission, a clear goal, a striking truth, and films and documentaries that have strong stories.
Feature-length narratives with a minimum running time of 60 minutes.
Short narrative films with a run time of 59 minutes and below.
Documentaries with a minimum running time of 60 minutes.

East Java International Film Festival are welcoming newcomers to the movie industry. The film director must state that the movie is his or her third movie (or under) on his/her application.
Any technique of animation, with a maximum duration of 125 minutes.

Awards Ceremony will be held and hosted in Surabaya, the second largest city in Indonesia. Kings and queens from Nusantara are invited. The festival will also be featuring screenings, film-making workshops, and a special meet-and-greet with the king.Besides the formal and exquisite Event, winning filmmakers would be bathed by the most beautiful sunrise of the Mount Bromo, that sits in the middle of a brownish dessert look-alike called the “Sea of Sand”, after an adventure of once-in-a-lifetime in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. An enjoyable moment will be presented in a journey of leisure, in the friendly chilly hill of Batu surrounded by three mountains. The trip will give a relaxed atmosphere while doing the lazy excursion and chitchatting about the world of filmmaking at the various local amusement.
