Our first issue of 2017 begins on the happy note of Indian films being honoured at major International festivals like Palm Springs, Sundance and Rotterdam.
In addition to this, with Berlinale 2017 just round the corner, this special issue highlights India’s many-stranded links with, and presence at, the prestigious festival. It also looks back at International Film Festival of Rotterdam, and Sundance, and how India has fared in both.

We present key new films in the pipeline listed under their different genres; films by masters or known names; films by emerging new directors; films connecting with India that are made abroad; and new work from elsewhere on the subcontinent.

The F.I.G magazine  provides a two way link between Indian cinema and world screens, with a regular update on films of interest to world distributors and exhibitors.  It covers all aspects of India’s vibrant film making: art house, independent, mainstream, debut and regional language work, short films and documentary, books, views and reviews. There are analyses of current trends and a section that invites film professionals to present their work and seek support. It often provides sneak previews, both debut and from masters. It is designed to be of value and interest to film professionals, festival organizers and programmers as well as to academics, journalists, researchers and libraries in India and everywhere.
